Activate Your Best Self®

Activate Your Best Self® Middle School supports students as they build emotional awareness, confidence, and healthy relationships during a critical stage of development.

This course is designed for middle school and early high school students (Grades 6–9).

Built on the Activate Your Best Self® Developing Lens, this course is designed for students who are:

  • Learning to manage emotions
  • Navigating friendships and peer influence
  • Building self-confidence
  • Developing responsibility and decision-making skills
  • Beginning to explore who they are becoming

Through guided reflection, simple belief awareness activities, and practical real-life scenarios, students gain tools to better understand themselves and respond thoughtfully rather than reactively.

At My Best provides a safe, structured space for students to pause, reflect, and strengthen skills that support well-being, relationships, and personal growth now and as they continue into high school and beyond. Through guided reflection, simple practices, and real-life scenarios, students learn how emotions, beliefs, and experiences influence their choices and behaviors.

How it Works

Step 1

Enroll & Get Access

Once enrolled, students get immediate access to the video series.

Students can start once they receive the workbooks. (within 7 days)

Lessons can be completed at school, at home, or with adult support at a pace that feels manageable.

Step 2

Watch Short, Student-Friendly Videos

Each video introduces one key idea such as understanding emotions, managing reactions, communicating clearly, or building healthy habits. Videos are simple, relatable, and designed to meet students where they are.

There is only one short video at the beginning of each section.

Step 3

Reflect & Practice

Students are guided to pause and reflect on their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors using age-appropriate prompts. This helps them connect what they’re learning to real-life situations like school, friendships, and family.

This series includes tailored scenarios. Topics include the following:

– Friendship conflict

– Social comparison and fitting in

– Academic responsibility

– Emotional ups and downs

– Habit formation

Step 4

Use the Workbook & Journal

The My Best Self Journal help students organize their thoughts, recognize patterns, and practice skills over time without pressure or perfection. This journal needed to complete the program.

Step 5

Grow Over Time

Students can revisit lessons as they grow and change. The program supports emotional development, confidence, and self-regulation skills they can use now and in the future.
